About Mylee – The Heart Behind Midlife Money & Metabolism
Hey beautiful — I’m Mylee, and if you’ve ever looked in the mirror and thought “what the heck happened to me?” … you’re in the right place.
In my 20s, I was that girl who ran for fun. I bounced back after babies, stayed active, and figured I had the whole “healthy lifestyle” thing down. But in my early 30s, the weight started creeping on. For about ten years, my body and I were stuck in a yo-yo cycle — up, down, up again — no matter how much I exercised or tried to “eat right.”
By my mid-30s, I felt awful. I was exhausted, achy, foggy, and frustrated. I went to what felt like every doctor under the sun. Eventually, I was told I had fibromyalgia. I believed it, because no one was offering any other answers — and I spent years managing the pain with opioids just to function and sleep.
Through my 40s, the weight kept piling on. I was doing “all the right things” and still felt worse and worse. Nothing changed… until I decided I was done living like that.
The Turning Point: Hormones, Thyroid & Finally Being Heard
In my early 50s, I hit my breaking point. I was fed up with how I looked, how I felt, and the drugs I was putting into my body just to get through the day. That’s when I found the most incredible functional medicine practitioner — the kind of woman I want to shout about from the rooftops.
She didn’t brush me off. She listened. She tested my hormones (what a concept!) and ran a full, in-depth thyroid panel — not just the standard quick glance most Western medicine doctors rely on. The results didn’t surprise me, because deep down I already suspected something was off. But for the first time, I had someone who actually cared enough to confirm it and help me fix it.
From there, everything changed. I cut out gluten and dairy (truly not as hard as it sounds — and so worth it), supported my thyroid, balanced my hormones, and slowly but surely… I lost 75 pounds.
Today, my thyroid is in a healthy range, my hormones are balanced, I sleep deeply, and I genuinely feel like I’m in my early 30s again — and that is not an exaggeration. I have energy. I feel clear. I like my reflection again.
